Welcome! I'm so excited that you stopped by Attic Treasures Basketry today. I'm passionate about basket weaving and love to share the basket weaving tradition with others, mostly at the local level.
Nearly all cultures throughout the ages have made and used baskets for daily use and storage. Basketry is also an art form with endless possibilities for creativity and self expression.
We often forget that these traditions have been passed down from generation to generation often times defining the very culture in which various people lived. If baskets could only tell the stories about the hands that spent hours fashioning them...
Each year I do a few select living history events, and seek to grow in my knowledge of basket weaving so that others can learn as well. Please stop by my Living History page if you would like to learn more about where I'll be demonstrating.
If you have any questions or comments, or would like to reach me for teaching a class, you may reach me at attictreasuresbasketry@gmail.com
If you would like to order a special basket, go to the Etsy shop sidebar links and start a conversation with me there or contact me via e-mail.
Hope you enjoyed your visit today and please stop back again soon!
